My Favorite Episodes of One Tree Hill

WARNING: *SPOILERS AHEAD*

One Tree Hill is one of those shows I always find myself re-watching and every time I sit down and go hmmmmm which episode should I watch. Well here is a list of all the episodes that I usually land on. So next time you find yourself wanting to take a trip back to Tree Hill here are my suggestions.

Life in a Glass House S1 E7

This episode centers around a party Dan and Deb throw for the booster parents, but really turns into a party for the team and their friends. This episode's downfalls though is that it contains the worst Brooke moments (she's kind of a bitch in this one). On the other hand, though this episode is when Luke and Peyton have their first kiss... and I really love Luke and Peyton.

Spirit in the Night S1 E17

THE BOYTOY AUCTION!!!! Gosh, this episode is fantastic, all of the boys get auctioned off on dates for charity. For a quick recap, Haley gets Lucas, Peyton gets Nathan, Brooke gets Mouth, Bevin gets Skillz, and unfortunately, Jake Gigelski (or however spell his name) gets auctioned off to his bitch ex Nicki. One thing that makes the episode so special though is that this is when Mouth finally starts becoming a main character and let's be real Mouth is amazing. This entire episode is filled with so much frickin tea and is for sure a great re-watch.

To Wish Impossible Things S1 E18

Ok, we need to start this one off by acknowledging the true MVP of this episode, your boy and mine one Mr. Marvin "Mouth" McFadden. S1 E18 is the episode when the Ravens take a trip to "The Classic" where the team has a game and the cheerleaders have a competition, but when the squad decides they need a new routine they send Mouth to spy leading to one of the best scenes ever where Mouth reenacts the other squads entire routine with just an incredible amount of attitude. This episode is so good, from Haley taking her rightful place on the cheer squad to Karen and Larry Sawyer being incompetent chaperones this one is absolutely *chef's kiss*.

I Will Dare S2 E5

4 words. LUCAS. IN. A. BRA. Gimmie a sec because imma pee my pants. It's dare night in Tree Hill and everyone is doing embarrassing shit. Nathan and Tim are girl scouts, Mouth is serving us up some baby got back in Karaoke, honestly what more could you want. Although unfortunately, this is during the time in the show where Felix is there and I am not a fan of Felix.

An Attempt to Tip the Scales S3 E4

It's Halloween in Tree Hill and the costumes are fantastic and the tea is piping hot. Here's a quick costume recap, Lucas is Tommy Lee, Brooke is the Devil, Mouth is Tony from Saturday Night Fever, Haley is Sandy from Grease, Nathan is Batman, Rachel is Pamela Anderson, and of course the most iconic costume Peyton Sawyer as the Angel of Death. This one is always a Halloween re-watch for me, it's got so many amazing moments. From Luke and Haley trying on Halloween Costumes to Mouth and Peyton dancing to Disco Inferno, definitely a top-tier episode.

All Tomorrow's Parties S3 E14

Were back at "The Classic" and honestly, all the episodes at the classic are classics. In this episode, Brooke has to decide whether to go to her fashion show or cheer in the classic. Then she realizes there will be plenty of time to be an adult and right now is her only time to just be a teenager. This one also includes several amazing scenes like the Peyton sawyer quotation "you can't see it but under these glasses, I'm rolling my eyes", the scene where the whole cheer squad calls that one nurse a bitch for not helping Haley, and when the entire cheer routine gets messed up and turns into a full-on dance party.

The Show Must Go On S3 E22

Now I for one love a good Tree Hill Wedding, and what is more Tree Hill than a Naley wedding. This episode is chockfull of romance and drama complete with a cliffhanger ending (thank goodness we don't have to wait to watch next season). This one will leave you wondering is someone dead? Is someone pregnant? Does anything good ever happen on that damn bridge? You just gonna have to go watch and figure out.

Pictures of You S4 E13

This episode gets me right in the feels every time. On one of their final days at Tree Hill High, the students get paired up and learn more about each other. This is one of those episodes that just makes you feel good and makes you love and understand the characters so much more. But I can't end this without talking about the pictures, each person must take a photo of their partner at the end and they are all so brilliant, I mean Nathan holding the basketballs with the wings behind him, Brooke covered in projected words, Skillz holding Haley up on the rooftop, this episode is just all-around genius.

It Gets Worse at Night S4 E17

The Tree Hill gang takes a trip to go bail mouth out of jail in Texas after he leaves the prom with Rachel and for some reason, I always end up coming back to this episode. Maybe I love this one so much because I dream of going on a road trip with my friends like this, or maybe because the man the myth the comedy legend Chris Keller is back for the episode, but I always find myself re-watching this one. Also, those prom outfits are absolutely amazing!!!

A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene S6 E14

Ok so this episode includes alternating videos of Nathan and Chase/Jamie and Andre singing Bust a Move and honestly, I didn't know how much I needed this in my life. This is also one of the best episodes for Luke and Peyton, they are babysitting Jamie and Andre and honestly, it's so adorable, but by far the sweetest scene is at the end when Luke and Nathan have the walkie-talkies... literally so sweet that my teeth are rotting.

Forever and Almost Always S6 E23

To preface this by saying I LOVE LUKE AND PEYTON. We are now back for another Tree Hill wedding and it's finally Luke and Peyton's turn. We've been waiting since episode 1 when Peyton almost hits Luke with her car and we all knew they were meant to be, and of course, it wouldn't be a Tree Hill wedding without two specific things 1) Slutty Wedding Sex (I'm looking at you Haley and Nathan) and 2) a tragic and emotional cliffhanger.

Don't You Forget About Me S7 E15

I couldn't think of a better tribute to the late great John Hughes than this episode. Every time I re-watch I find another movie reference in there, from 16 Candles and Home Alone to Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and Weird Science. This episode gives me a laugh every time and the soundtrack is bopping thanks to Cheap Trick. Also every time I watch this one I think about how much I want to recreate that ending scene from 16 Candles, just saying in case anybody was wondering...

The Drinks We Drank Last Night S8 E12

Told in the style of the Hangover "The Drinks We Drank Last Night" is the story of the morning after Brooke's Bachelorette party when she realizes she can't find her ring. They all start to slowly remember all of the dumb things last night, like when Millie gets a boots tattoo, or how Quinn lets Alex pierce her tongue, or when they stole Nathan's professor's dog.

The Other Half of Me S8 E13

Finally, Brooke gets the happiness she deserved, nobody can deny Brooke has it pretty rough in the later seasons and she deserved an amazing wedding and an amazing man like Julian. Also, let's talk for a minute about how cute it is that Jamie is Julian's best man, and Haley and Jamie's speeches just priceless.

One Tree Hill S9 E13

I had to include the finale in this list because this is my absolute favorite tv show finale. Personally, I hate it when shows have all the main characters split up in the end, but One Tree Hill wraps everything up in a bow with everyone together and the story coming full circle. I wish Luke and Peyton would have been back for the finale but I know that might not have been possible. This finale still makes me teary-eyed every time though, it just such a well-rounded satisfying conclusion. Go Ravens, CAW!
