Fashion Trends I Want Back
I know Its been a while but I'm finally back!
Quite honestly this entire list is almost all 90s trends, but whatever the 90s are honestly a great era, and besides I was even alive yet then so I need my chance to live out my 90s fantasies.
Perms
Now I know when you read that you were like um perms? no, but hear me out. The 80s perm may have been a bit wild... however, the 90s perm was absolutely gorgeous. Still super curly just not as tall as the 80s perm. I'm honestly considering bringing this one back myself.
Platform Flip Flops and Sandals
Platform flip flops and sandals were a 90s staple and honestly, I understand why. In particular, these black sandals match with every outfit and are the perfect spring and summer look. Also, they look super comfy and comfort is always key.
Crocheted Bandanas
Now, this one gives me major Olsen twins vibes and I'd honestly like to big back the Olsen twins' entire style. I mean bandanas are already super stylish but crocheted ones just give off sweet cottage core energy and I love that.
Butterfly Clips
Butterfly Clips were an absolutely ICONIC 90s trend. These just scream Lizzie McGuire to me and let's be real we all wanted to be Hillary Duff. These honestly make any 90s updo look so much cuter (and 90s updos are already super cute)
Beaded Jewelry
These honestly just make me feel like a kid again. Plus you can spell out whatever you want with them. Make them say best friends, fries before guys, or the name of your favorite song (or in my case, it would say Harry Styles). These are also a great idea for a super fun night with your friends.
Acid Wash Denim
Honestly, I don't know why acid wash denim ever went out of style because it is super cute. Recently tie-dye has been making a huge comeback and is super trendy right now and I think acid wash is right behind, I honestly think it's not going to be long before you start seeing tons of acid wash jeans on your trips to target.
Spandex
You cannot convince me that 80s spandex workout wear is not so much more fun than what we are all wearing today. I've recently been getting more into working out and honestly I'd be much more motivated if I was wearing a neon pink spandex leotard.
Legwarmers
When did people decide that legwarmers weren't cute because I want to talk to those people? Legwarmers are absolutely adorable and should honestly be the next winter trend, and I'm not talking about the modern ones that go into boots no no no I'm talking regular old legwarmers.
These Mini Dresses
I honestly don't even know what else to call them but that. When I think of these dresses my brain immediately goes to 90s teen movies. They are right out of movies like Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Clueless, and My Date with the President's Daughter. I honestly think everyone would look so adorable in these.
