How Started Enjoying Exercising... When I Usually Hate It

Now listen everybody I am as unathletic as it comes, I once joined my high school track and field team for one day and then said nope this aint for me, but a few weeks ago I have found my new fav way to workout.


HIIT DANCE WORKOUTS!!!! (led by EMKFIT on YouTube)

These workouts are both fun and easy to follow but will also give you a great workout and make you want to come back the next day for more. She has a bunch of videos up on her channel, each with a different soundtrack theme, from Broadway Musicals to Boybands. So far I have completed the One Direction, Mamma Mia, Broadway Hits, Disney After Dark, and Miley vs. Hannah workouts and have had a blast doing all of them.



The workouts are run by Emily Thorne, a certified PT and Workout Instructor, via YouTube. she creates a super fun and non judgmental environment making these workout great for any experience level. Her videos have just two rules 1. Fake it til you make it, you don't have to do the moves perfect you just have to try, and 2. wrong and strong, even if your doing it wrong just be confident in yourself and your moves. Each song only has two moves and they alternate throughout song, but one of the reasons these workout are so great is because the different moves and the different songs work different parts of the body giving you an amazing full body workout, but you just feel like you are having fun. Her videos are no pressure, she often provides alternate moves for a workout that is more low impact on joints and because the

workouts are on YouTube you can pause and rewind anytime you want if you need a break!


My absolute favorite part of the workout though is how I feel after, being stuck inside I often feel like I get nothing done but taking the 20-30 minutes to rock out to one of these videos in the morning gives me a sense of accomplishment, kick starts my day, and motivates me to keep going. So whether your looking for the right place to start working out or for a way to keep working out while gym are closed EMKFIT's videos are (in my opinion) the best place to start. and as you can see from that photo, they kick my ass in the best way possible.
